Hi all, I recently downloaded DTR and it downloaded fine but when I go to start it it keeps telling me error trying to start up Direct3d8. What do I do to fix this Im running windows 8 if it helps

none of those worked..nor did running it on windows xp.... it says the same thing

I don't have 32 bit textures but I have 1366x768 resolution and it works fine for windows 8

Read that and none of that seems to be what im getting. What im talking about is basically the game will not start at all. It wont load, it wont do nothing. it says direct3d8 is invalid input. It then closes the program, I have tried running it in different settings to no avail. I just uninstalled it and currently reinstalling it to see if that will work.

Same thing. Im getting ready to just forget about it. I cant get it to work no matter what I do to the settings. Im afraid im going to screw something up on my computer if I keep going! can anyone help! This is what i get

Do you even have a graphics card or anything? Can you play other games?

i remember having some of these problems.
try setting your pc screen resolution 1024 by 768,or 800 by 600
then try starting up the game.
