i actually cant figure this one out
i got a new comp , windows8 , i know i know

but i got it to where it works kind of
i can open the game , go online , into an ip
start the race and then

when its loading , like the pace lap ingame
my car just flips wildly and then when the race starts i am usually not on the track
i have flipped somewhere else on the map

anyone know anything about that kinda crap?

Does this happen on every single track including defaults?

Sounds like your connection DB. I know you know all about the connection issues, but that really sounds like that is the issue. Is it doing it when you run offline? If it is, then something got messed up within the game and it's not your connection. I'm sure you did all the troubleshooting and compatibility issues.

yeah , i did the compatibility stuff and it works fine in single player
even had shock on teamview tryin to compare ingame video settings
when i was in the server my ping was about normal - low to mid 30s
just when loading the car appears to be flipping/spinning and the screen flickers between what seems to be 2 cameras
like 1 wants to follow the car normal nd the other wants to watch like its in replay mode
once the race starts my car flips around til it comes to rest and i can operate it fine
its just the initial connection before the green that is fkd

Sorry I'm no help DB, and couldn't get the Mrs. terminal with win 8 to work myself a while back.

Well if you can run fine offline, then your PC and the game is matched fine and it's not a problem within WIN8. You can run the highest HD the game will let you go. mine is in 1440x900 but have had it in the 1920x1800 or something like that. I have seen this before and it's in the connection. When your game is framing up to the server, your connection is bouncing from one place to another, therefore it's making the car seem to flip around. that is caused by the connections going in and out real fast. The thing I fixed when I had this issue with Vista (but it wasn't the program) was moving my desk closer to the wall plug and shortening the cable. My cable was too long and it was dragging the connection out. The person who had the same problem as you (and I am clueless to whom it was, it's been some years), had a wireless router, when they got a fixed line it stopped. Try messing with your connections to the PC and see if that helps.

yesterday i spent most of my time outisde shoveling and pushin stuck cars on my road

so
i reset all my connections
still get the same problem

i connected a cord , its only 5 feet long
still get the same problem

im at a loss

offline single player loads fine
online in my own server and other peoples servers is where i have the problem

i love the constant run around everyone gives you

call the cable company , they say everything is up to date with the modem , so update the router

update the router and they say its the cable

the cable says it could be due to too many people on the server - hahahahahahaha , we only hold 10 and i test by my self idiot

If you join a server with someone else do you flip around on their screen also?


Try disabling IPV6 and see if that helps. I know someone that had a similar issue and Win 8 was forcing IPV6 which tore a hole in the ozone.

i just tried turnin off the ipv6
it didnt work
and i didnt just uncheck it in the box
i went thru and regedit and did it on this path
hkey local machine \ system \ currentcontrolset \ services \ tcpip6 \ parameters

and disabled with ffffffff

now i am dl-ing the game from here
see if it works
maybe my disc from 2002 has a scratch?

i finally got it working

shock and i were on teamview

and finally decided to just dl the game from here
motherf*cker didnt it work perfectly

so im about ready to start racin again
soon......

anybody else find a solution to this??? Tried dl the game multi times, and still the trouble on the pace lap.
