When I try to play DTR2 on single player I always get this message then the game closes. Methodcall D3D8_LFB Write.CopyRects I can play online tho.

im just guessing here

the method call has something to do with the way the program tries to operate and sorting thru files to operate many things at once , like organizing the files for the game

the d3d8 has something to do with direct 3d and how that is organized to create 3d images

so im goin to assume the computer is timing on on some process that the game runs to create 3d objects and windows 8 isnt waiting long enough or allowing those processes

so you may want to look into you graphics card and see if there are options yu can change??? or maybe make sure you have all the most updated drivers for your graphics

set resolution 1280x720, color depth 32 bit, then 32 bit textures.

I tried what you told this person , Shock,,,,, still get error..... unlike him, I can play offline.... but, not online,,,, if anyone has fixed this, please let me know..... I will try to see if these drivers need updated...... but hell, this is brand new,,, its a cheap ACER ... but, will this thing run this game????? if not ,,, I want to take it back, get something that will...... IDEALS ??????

The Screen Resolution Rate did fix the wack screen problem,,,, THX Shock.... But.... when I go thru the tracks .. it knocks the game OFF..... And Deadbolt,,, I got the game HERE...

My game knocks me out all the time too but nothing to do with my computer OS lol. If you can race the track you're on then it shouldn't be the problem.

Yea..... I am all new to 8... I will go in and just transfer my tracks to a desktop folder... maybe the list is to long with this pre-install game. with a cheaper laptop...... I will get back to ya later.... got to get hauler ready for LASALLE this weekend,,,,,,, THX !!!!!!!
