once you get to a point where you have more detailed questions
ask here , and people will point you in the right direction

in general tho , if you are lookin to advance your offline racing - you can download setups from here

if they come in a folder you will have to open the folder and move the STR file (notepad format) into your setups folder found dwn this path :
computer - cdrive - games - infogrames - dirt track racing 2 - data - you should see a folder "setups"

also in that path create a folder named "cars" if it isnt already there - this is where downloaded chassis go
also create a folder named "skins" - this is where painted car file go in a folder that usually has 2 files inside it
also create a folder named "tracks" - this is where downloaded tracks will go

some files are exe format , and most times they automatically move the files to the correct places

the download section on this site is listed under the "community" tab at the top of the page

i tried to download the game, but it opened up and was nothing but a bunch of scrambled words for some reason.it said it was a "str"file. do i need a special program to open this file? what am i doing wrong??

Sounds to me like you went into your games data folder and opened up the file "dtr2.str" You need to go one folder back and open up "dtr2.exe" that's the actual game file. Unless Idk what you're talking about.
