There was an errpr while trying to start up dirtect3d8 on your video card

i have the latest direct x installed and all of the drivers are updated to current specs any one ever have this issue?

Hey Amp,
Direct3d and DirectX is 2 different things.
I think you might have your video card in the wrong mode. Im thinking you might have a fairly new card that supports Direct3d
but your monitor does not and for sure DTR2 does not. Make sure your video card is not in 3d mode
