TOPIC:

The other night my cousins and I were racing multiplayer on my home network. We raced for some time and out of the blue his computer froze up in the middle of a race and his car was jumping from one straight a way to the other landing on its side every time. Is this a DTR2 glitch or is a computer problem on his laptop? He closed it out and restarted DTR2 and all was fine. Is there any patches for DTR2? I have searched the internet and found nothing in the way of patches!

there are not any patches that i know of to deal with what you are talking about , that type of problem can happen for multiple reasons , maybe his computer started a virus scan , maybe he got an instant message

it does happen from time to time , and the best thing you can do is exit out of the game and restart , and whom ever else is in the server exit out of the race and start over

maybe someone else knows more than i do???
but thats what i got

I couldnt find any patches of any kind for DTR2. I will have to check out his computer and see whats going on with it. It has only happened once.

Are you running his laptop on a wireless home network?

We had the same thing happen at our house. I was on a LAN cable and my boy was runnin on our wireless connection. Wireless is pretty unreliable, especially when you got nieghbors leachin off ya (I let them). We hooked him to a LAN cable and had no more trouble.

Yeah it was on the wireless side but we got it fixed. His computer was getting hot from sitting on his lap. So he got a laptop cooling pad and we raced Friday night with no problems. I know the neighbors arent using my wireless network because the closest ones are 1/2 mile away!
