What does ping mean im new to this multiplayer stuff my number seems to be 5 times what everyone else has just wondering why and help would be great thanks

too be simple it is the connection speed from your pc to the server or pc you connected to. The number is affected by a few things ie: programs you have running on your pc and the distance you are from the host service,the internet connection you have ie: dsl, cable, dial-up. The best thing to do is close down any programs you dont need running and do a system clean and defrag of pc , as long as your ping stays below 100 you should be ok (150 being the max). When your ping is high it causes lag and makes your car look sidways top others racing, but it may look ok on your screen. hope this helps
