My Eagle track doesn't work for some reason. Says there is a problem reading the billboard. So I'm wondering if there is anyway I could download the default track from somewhere?

KC, if u hav the game disc, do a drag drop onto [Mods] folder then again on {extract PF} and then look in my computer under user files and ul see [DATA] folder these. Inside you should see the track files etc, unless ur talking about DTR-SC version 'Eagle' track ..If so look in DTRSC section of DL's and look for the Default tracks. Pretty certain we got em'. Otherwise, let us know which game track ur talkin' of or the name of texture and we'll dump it rigth here buddy for ya'.

This is for DTR2. What do I drop into the mods folder? When I go in my [Data] folder I don't see any file named track files.

the file that say store.pf etc. Not sure which one is for what. Each has set of skins, or tracks or cars etc. Can't recall which is fior what but grab the biggest there and drop away otherwise I suggest the lot., all 5 folders with a pf or pfb ay end of..

"Unable to read 32768 bytes from data\tracks\dtr2eagle\textures\billboard_large_spin_m_2.tex." Is what I'm getting. One thing I forgot to mention too was that I only did the minimum install because full wouldn't work

check the texture against others. check for size of that texture. Coulpd be that the texture is written up wrong, has the incorrect numering like it should be a .3 not a .2. Does happen. Depending on the edit, where it was DL'd from, eg DTR1 to DTR2. Try that anyway.

I tried the download from here last night but couldn't figure out how to work it

I have a turorial on how to DL the New Full DTR2 install. there are a couple on here but here is one i made:

Go to downloads, click on DTR2 Full Install (it will say you need the ISO file, YOU DON'T). When you get it on desktop, right click icon, click open file location, scroll down to InstallShield.exe and click, it will then start download. Now go to the download section again, download the DTR2.exe. After download, right click DTR2 icon and open file location, scroll down to dtr2.exe, delete that one, and replace with the one you just downloaded. Now you can play single player mode. You don't need the CD!!!


For people who use Run As Admin:

Download the client version self extracting file first, at www.winzip.com . Save your files when downloaded, then open folder. Right click and click create self extracting file, you will then unzip to desktop and then follow above directions!!

Hey Demonic, The new Full install has a InstallShield.exe , you wont need the ISO anymore.

Raise your graphics up inside the game and see if that helps KC. Especially High Resolution Textures and 32bit graphics.

Thanks so much for all the help, even if some of it didn't work. Just going to try the install again. Is nice to see some nice people are playing.

Theres been a lot of ppl playing dtr2 lately.

We're 90% a friendly community....we're happy to help in any way and try to if we can. I stay quiet because, I know nothing. Ask anybody. I'm sure they'll agree with me. Especially Jsn, Jim and Shock. I'm pretty sure that they'll agree we're friendly here and I'm almost certian they won't hesitate to say I know nothing.

I just said that because right before that post I was racing and some guy banned me because twice in a span of like 6 races I touched him haha
