VLR FAST 10'S ARE BACK

VLR Fast 10's are BACK (2023)! Click here to view! Simply join 74.91.122.77:32263 IP in DTR2 and set the laps to 10 in default late models for your time to show up!

To get the game to work online, simply download RivaTuner Statistics Server and click the + sign to add dtr2.exe and then set the frame rate to be 120FPS!

Hi all,
While watching the play-back videos I found, at the top of my screen, a EXPORT option. I've clicked it a number of times but can't, for the life of me, find where these exported videos go. I have searched my PC exclusively but can't find them anywhere. :S HELP! Please, and thanks.

I have messed with that as well..... I never did figure it out.... probly some kind of tutortorial/spl ...... around here, in forums or something... I never went that far to find out.... heck, I have trouble finding the screenshots... lol... sometimes I get lucky when media player is on, and 1 will pop up.... lol

I've never used that option to create videos of my replays. It's very tedious and just takes forever. I suggest downloading www.fraps.com and using that to record vidoes and it records in real time so you don't have to export anything.

You can only record 30 seconds or something with the unpaid version of fraps.
Straight roads are for fast cars, curvy roads are for fast drivers.

I don't care about Fraps. I want to know where the video goes in the game when you click on EXPORT. I've clicked on it a number of times and want to know if it's filling up my hard drive with useless video files.

if I remember correctly they go in a folder called export in the data folder, but I'm not sure.

Thanks, Goldfish but that's not right. I don't have an export folder there or anywhere else on my PC.

Either the right person ,has not read this Tread, or your on to something, nobody REALLY know's, I have messed with it in the past, and gave up... Was not answered then either, cause I asked on here a few times..... pls let us know ...if ya find them, lol !!!

just taking a guess after reading the read me file in dtr2-games-infogrames-dirttrackracing2

it says screenshots are saved to c:\snap*.tga
maybe it creates c:\exports
i dont have either on my comp cuz i dont either
but just guessing

yea, iv'e got to the c/snap tga thing, then needed to get a app.... im on windows 7-8.. where ya need a app for everything.... gggrrrrr, what else can open a tga file..... like paint? something that's already on here ? .........

Paint Shop Pro 7 (available on this site) opens TGAs. Its the same file type that skins are painted in.

Thanks, but nope, they are not there either.
I'm really surprised at you guys. You've been playin' this game for about 12 years, give or take, and nobody has the answer. Very interesting to say the least. :)

I'm not trying to do anything, Shock ,except to find out where the EXPORT videos go, hence the title of this thread.
I haven't got a clue why Fraps was brought up... :blink:

Because none of us know where they go.

It sounds like you are wanting to watch an actual video of one of your race replays; Fraps was brought up because it does a much better job of this than simply using the export option in dtr2, and it saves them to a folder that you can find easily. Just a suggestion.

Shock, I know you are doing your best but that is not what I'm trying to do. Never assume anything. :)
Here is an earlier post I wrote that explains what I am trying to do.

They're in the replay folder.

Names it after the replay but avi rather than rec

Thanks, Goldfish. Pretty stupid of me by not looking in that folder. Duh. :whistle: I did find 3 very badly recorded .avi files there so I deleted them because they wouldn't play anymore then a few seconds.
And now we have the answer. :)
