I think it's made out of Crab Orchard stone which is unique to this area and then we put a glaze coat on it

why did you put mutton bars in the 1/2 rounds and the entry door but not the rest of the casements?

Yeah the people that work here bought the rock I think and cut it to shape and then chiseled the front out to give it the rough edged look and then put a glaze coat on it that hardens to give it a smooth finish. When they first get here they look fairly cool but when the glaze coat goes on them they look really really nice. I never knew how any of that worked until I helped do it on a recent house they were building for the owner. For all I knew they just bought them from a factory like that but I didn't realize how much of the actual work they had to do once they got the rock lol. Here are a few more

I didn't do any of that and I have no idea what that even is...but I do agree a cabinet would look a lot better over that refridgerator
