This Monday night, at 9:00 pm eastern time, I will be experimenting with a new type of event. I will post one or possibly two servers in the browser called "OSR Speedway." You can join the server and run for points. There will be three short hot lap sessions followed by the first heat race.

The first heat race will line up by random grid mode.
The second heat race will line up by reverse rank grid mode.
The feature race will line up by rank.

Heat races will be between 8 and 12 laps, feature race will be between 30 and 50 laps.

Gen 5 Late Model chassis is required.

Spots in the server are first come first serve. If you leave the server and someone gets your spot you're out. If you leave the server and get back in you lose any points accrued up to that point. If someone enters the server without Gen 5 and you're booted I'll try to make sure you can get back in and get your points restored if you let me know in the chat room, which I will be monitoring between races.

Track will be selected at random after the browser server is opened. It will be a default track. If there are future races, some add-on tracks will be included.

No restarts.

No pings over 200 ms.

Rough drivers will be disqualified.

Ventrilo will not be used for this event. You can join the Old School Racing Chat Room, just go to osracing.net and click Old School Racing Chat Room on the left. This is meant to be a fairly fast moving set of races.

Congratulations to kmars on his win in the inaugural OSR Speedway event. We had six cars run to start the feature and everyone finished. It was some good clean racing between experienced and rookie racers alike. I'd like to thank everyone that showed up. Next week we will move to Tuesday night at 9:00 pm eastern time. This series will be run in the open browser. Just look for the OSR Speedway server which goes online promptly at 9 eastern.
