Hey Guys,

I am racing at Five Mile Point tomorrow night with the RoC Series and they are having a fan vote. The driver with the most votes will earn a guaranteed starting spot into the Southern Tier 100.

All you need to do is look for the status that says RoC the vote- Modified Style and comment on that status with Kyle Merkel 118.

For those of you who have no idea who I am well..
This is only my 3rd race with the modified as I primarily race dirt late models traveling around the Mid-Atlantic. However I havn't raced too much this year as I blew a motor early in the year down at Hagerstown, but for the 2010 and 2011 seasons I raced on the Steel Block Bandits Series picking up a few wins and pick and choose super races with the Three State Flyer Series, UfO Series and United Late Model Series sicne we only have open 358 motors.

I am looking to run Modifieds full time in 2013 as the traveling for late model racing is getting to be too much since we live in Eastern, PA and we have to tow 3 hours plus whenever we want to race where the money is at and with Modified racing in a 3 hour radius we have roughly 8 tracks we could race at.

Have you raced @ Kokomo Speedway in the Mods before?

Thanks guys that voted, Unfortunatley I lost the vote but however I qualified through my heat race finishing behind Tomkins, Friesen, and Higbie and was able to just beat Pat Ward by a few feet for the last transfer spot. Had the toughest heat of the night but it worked out. Ended up 17th in the feature which isn't the greatest but I can't complain for it only being my 3rd time in a modified and I was able to keep my nose clean. Track rubbered up with about 30 to go and it got interesting as there was about 5 of us under a blanket battling with Mitch Gibbs, Meme Desantis, Doug Manmiller and Danny Creeden. Track was in great shape and had 3 grooves of racing.

V6 I have never been to kokomo, you may be thinking of IMCA or UMP modifieds, I run northeast modifieds.
