THIS IS A POINTS RACE!

Laps
*Heat races will be 15 laps.
*If there's a C Main, it will be 12 laps.
*B Mains will be 20 laps
*A Main will be 100 laps

Format
*No wetness changes this season. All races to be ran on 47 wetness.
*Heats are lined up by qualifying position
*No dash race
*The number of heat races will determine who transfers straight to the A from the heat. The more heat races, the less transfers from each heat.
*Restarts will be 1 within the 1st lap. If it's really bad, the server host may call more than that if needed.

Time
*Qualifying starts at 7pm EASTERN. You are not required to be in vent by exactly 7, but we would like to have qualifying finished by 8pm EASTERN if possible, so we can move along with the show. If you can't be there at 7 please let me know in this thread or somewhere else.

Things to know
*Do NOT come into this race driving aggressive and trying to win/transfer at all costs. This is #1, for fun, and there are a lot of guys who put this together by donating money, building the tracks, and making sure everyone has a chance to have a fun time. Driving over your head (this includes me) will hurt you way more than it will help.

*This is a tight track. Do not do any stupid slidejobs or run into the corners and hit someone. Give room to the guys above you. We have raised our laps from our usual format to give everyone time to move up if they are fast enough.

*If this will be your first race at VLR, don't come in on a mission to make the A Main no matter what. Patience and learning should be the main thing you are thinking. This will gain you a lot of respect in the future should you decide to race the full season.

Points Format
New format this season, which you can read about in the format on the home page of the website. The number of cars determine who gets how many points. Basically the bigger the show, the more points you get for winning. So if you win a race when say 12 cars show up, that's not going to get you as many points as if 30 did...should be interesting.


Payout
*If you finish in the top 10, we will need the email you use for PayPal to send you the money after we review the replays of the top 5.
*If you do not have a PayPal account, now would be a good time to make one. I'm pretty sure if you are receiving money, you won't have to put in any credit card info, etc...just your email and your address I believe.
*If you want a check, when we send your money to your PayPal account, you can log in to PayPal and request a check to be sent to your house (Usually arrives within three or four weekdays).

Wow...between 40-43 cars showed up total making this the biggest crowd in VLR history, and one of the biggest crowds in dtr2 history I'd say...we are running the B Main's now, but huge # of cars tonight shows dtr2 still has some life left, thanks everyone!!

Shock, damn good show. the points looks like a series more than half way finished, with 41 drivers. not to forget JW did a heck of a job form last to first. Just wanted you to know you promoted the race of the year, actually ive never seen anything like it. There certainly was many top drivers that drove an excellent race we could mention here, but I don't have that much time this morning. This season for VLR should be a good one. I thank all who support the game, There is no dought DTR2 is where the competition is.

Wow Shock AWESOME turn out and show.. Its to bad that many cars didn't show up to all the races for the teams that take time to promote them... I will make as many races as possible in the game to support my team as well as the teams promoting...

VERY NICE SHOW LAST NIGHT SHOCK!!! I havent seen that many drivers since the 45 we had at the Spring Fling 2 or 3 years ago...Its been a very very long time since i wasnt able to make the "A" in a big show and that just tell me that theres still a bunch of talent left in this game and I would love to start getting 20+ people at the shows again. Shock and Wheel you did a great job of promoting/running the race. Great Job guys!!

hey i am getting my new computer today and i think if it lets me i think ill be running Lane motosports number 6 .

That's the most cars I've ever seen at a dtr2 race also and I've been playing online for seven years. I thought there was like 39 at the Spring Fling race you were talking about ICE but I don't remember 45. Either way, seeing these kinds of numbers in 2011 at a race is awesome...hopefully it will breathe new life into the game (I hope). Overall the race went really well and I'm glad there wasn't TOO much yelling and screaming afterwards lol...
