Why are Teams scheduleing their times on top of other Teams race times? IMO it is very disrespectful to the drivers and owners to do this!!! We would all like to run with competition, and their is no competition in taking over someones established race times!!! It is kinda ridiculous that a Team would would not check the schedule and start thier races at the same time another team has been running for weeks. We want to run all leagues and all drivers, that's impossible when teams start to disrespect eachother, and try to take away their drivers and leaving the top 3-5 to run by thierselves, while the majority runs somwhere else at the same time!!!! Com' On Man!!! We have to take this game by the balls, and own it before it's too late and everyone hates eachother. We are a FAMILY DAMNIT!!! lets act like it, and grow up!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I love this game and the people in it, but with teams and drivers disrespecting eachother, this game will not be around much longer!!! PEOPLE CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUCH!!! WE ARE ALL HUMAN AND HAVE FEELINGS!!! Just because you may never see someone, does not mean you can't hurt them!!! So Please anyone that has a problem with a team or a driver, take the time to forgive and forget, words are words, and they can't kill you!!! Just remember, I will love you ALL no matter what, because that's how life should be!!! FORGIVE AND FORGET!!!

while i understand what is being said
let me be the devils advocate for a bit

when TeamX wants to pick a time that is best for thier entire team to meet and race one another , sometimes it may be at the same time another team/league may be running

for myself , i really only enjoy a few chassis that we have available , so i pick and choose when and where i race , whether its for fun or points

i agree , it would be nice to have a schedule where no one stepped on anyones toes
but at the same if there are multiple series running at the same time , it gives the driver a choice of where to run and what to run

i like that XOR fridays is running a different chassis than most , and XCR is runnin on tuesdays with a sprint car - thats the only "open" sprint car league right now(that i know of)

And once specific example i can think of right now is saturdays at 10pm -- Doit is going to be running thier Wedge Lates , its thier normal time now on saturdays for as long as my memory can recall
well the upstart team TTH shows up and posts thier series at the same time , but TTH is using Gen3(i think)
that scenario gives drivers a choice - while i do believe Doit will get more drivers , form my view TTH isnt looking for a 30+ car count , those guys are doin it for fun

not that we all dont race for fun , but you know what i mean

another thing , that may cut down on this multiple race at same time problem -- some teams are coming out with more than one race night per week
im not pointing fingers just stating fact - Doit has 2 , WFO has 1 , XOR has 2 , ERL has 2 , XCR has 2 , i know that few and far between when you look it like that but we all want the same times 8ppm east or 9pm east
i think XCR has cornered the market for afternoon racing with thier sunday series

it would be great if we could all get together and say TeamA gets 8pm mon , TeamB gets 10pm mo , TeamC gets 8pm tue , TeamD gets 10pm tue and so on.....

our schedule problem is small in comparison to what it used to be like when this game was in its hay day years ago , you were lucky if you didnt schedule over someone , there was a reason SNO(Saturday Night Outlaws) ran at midnight on saturday - it was the best time for the most people and not on top of very many other series

im sorry i ramble , i hope its coherent

JSN Love is kind of a strong word...Guys like Shock I can hardly even say I even like BWAAAAHAAAA....Just kidding
So we finish 18 and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, 'Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.' And he says, 'Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.' So I got that goin' for me, which is nice

Re: Scheduleing over other peoples series!!! 13 years 10 months ago #2912

Well guys I know that they are another series that runs on Thursday nights about the same time as The National Late Model Series. I do apologize that we scheduled when we did, we at the time of scheduling the races, we did not know they was another series running then. After the schedule had been made and put on the website. Shock told me they was another series at that time. So we moved the time up for the first month to 7 pm Eastern. To try and not conflict with the other series. They only have a couple more weeks in their season so then we will move it back to 8:00 pm Eastern and all should be good. But once again sorry for scheduling over the other series.
Another thing BLS_JSN is right on the way people act on this game. We are all on here to race and have fun. Some people take it so serious, I mean in real racing wrecks happen and people get took out. Some are accidents and some are on purpose. So the way I look at it before you get mad and go to cussing the person who wrecked you on here. Check your replay and let the owner or whoever is running that series check it. See if maybe it was just racing or if it was on purpose. Just everybody get along on here and lets have fun. Lets quit the bull crap of getting on this forum and talking about one another. If you have a problem with someone just talk to that person in a calm manner and try to resolve the issue.

this isnt my normal time for talking about the upcoming months schedule but this topic made me wonder
so i looked ahead into feb
currently 49 races scheduled in 28 days
of those 49 races , only 8 times is there double scheduled races at the same hour
now , thats just speculating , because as we all know things can change

Now that I seen the schedule page I see where TTH has slid there race on the same time slot as Doit, we have always had 10:00 et on Saturday for the Mars Series and 10:00 et on Thursday for our Thursday Nites Thunder races which is anything but late model racing. this season its the Renegades and last year it was the TnL cars. I don't know why TTH didn't respect our time slot on Saturday and why they didn't pick a different hour. I'm suspecting they either don't have a clue what their doing or they are Noobs or both, that being said I think we will change are time slot to Fridays and Mondays and really mess things up. their just isn't any respect in this game anymore from new people just getting started, when a new team schedules their time slot it should be declined if it within 2 hours of another teams time slot.
as far as im concerened its disrespecful to the teams that been here and gonna be here for a long time, the other teams come and go, *king started 3 teams in one year and their all gone now, It don't matter what cars they run its the time slot they stole from the other teams car count. and we dont have 200 cars anymore, so its importand that we spread the time slots out so the 30 cars we have left can attend all the races. JMO about this, and thanks JSN for bringing that to our attention.

playing devils advocate again

Real 2011 scheduled Dates
May 29
UFO @ Hesston Speedway , Hesston PA
WoO @ WVMS , Mineral Wells WV
distance between the two - 264 miles

June 4
UFO @ Tyler County , Middlebourne WV
AMS @ Hagerstown , Hagerstown MD
distance between the two - 228 miles

June 18
CLMA @ Dodge City Raceway Park , Dodge City KS
NCRA @ Thunder Hill Speedway , Mayetta KS
distance between the two - 288 miles

July 2
UFO @ Tyler County
Lucas Oil @ Portsmouth
distance - 174 miles

Sept 3
MLRA @ Heartland Park , Topeka KS
MARS @ 81 Speedway , Park CIty KS
distance - 136 miles

now im just showing those because in real life they step all over each other and people always complain about who is racing where , granted there are a lot more drivers in real life than in our DTR2 world

but they still seem to get along and manage to have good races with full fields(most of the time)

and we only need 10 for a full field , recently ive been at a few races with roughly 10 drivers , and there is still racing going on with the people that are there

im just trying to show the other side , i still agree we shouldnt schedule on top of each other

I understand what your sayn JT about real weekend racers that have a 2 day weekend to race, But, we have the whole week to choose from, all 7 days of the week. Its not necessary to double slot teams on top of each other, I guess it doesn't matter, but does TTH think a Doit will every make their show or a TTH making a Doit show. I'm just saying its not necessary when we have a 7 day race week. Not that TTH will even be here next week. I just think its disrespectful to all the long term teams. LOL ShoNuff still remembers Monday night was EVR Mars night and nobody eleses. When Doit started their league races we looked at all the teams schedules and took Saturdays and Thursdays because noone was running on them nights. We did that for respect of the other teams that had been useing specific time slots, and we didn't want to offend anyone by useing the say day same time. Just saying, probley don't matter that much. But Monday at 8:00et was my old EVR slot if I was to use that that would certainly conflict with WFO and I wouldn't do that.

Re: Scheduleing over other peoples series!!! 13 years 10 months ago #2929

Yeah I was just messing around about it still being on Mondays. And EVR Mars ProStocks on Thurs before our IGGR races on Thursdays. But back then scheduling over top of others was no big thing, there was so many diff leagues running at different levels of competition anyway and a whole lot more racers back then. You had alot of those smaller newcomer leagues that drew the newer racers, or just the ones that wasnt ready to step up to say a EVR,IGGR,MoFo, etc race, they still had those other leagues to have fun and learn in. Then you had those of us that wouldnt run in those other leagues because we considered it bottom feeding. But without those smaller leagues DTR2 would not have continued to grow as it did back then. They were able to race each other and enjoy the game.

You know the bigger more established league/teams wouldnt have tried a race on each others race nights. But never minded if these other new/smaller leagues did.

Now I havent raced this game in I guess 5 years or more, and not sure how many people do race. I can understand if they are only a handful of guys that league race. Scheduling over another league is gonna hurt the one that was established first. So I do understand the complaint there.

shonuff sounds like youve saw alot of the old dtr2 legends race.maybe you should come out of retirement and see how us newer guys stack up to what those guys used to do.

there is probably about 40 guys on and off that still race dtr2 so its not like 2 series at same time slot couldnt get full fields.

the thing that gets under my skin is that some teams want people to come out and run their league but they never show to other leagues.i dont know if theyre slow or scared or what but it is racing and you cant win them all but the stiffer competition you race against always makes you better too.

some of these series that run over other peoples schedules race some of the same cars and tracks.if the teams would communicate more together maybe we could merge some dates and chassis and trim some time out for other teams to use some different chassis or tracks and so on.

just my 2 cents, not like it means much. lol
Better eat them fuckin vitamins kiddies.
