ERL will race at 10:00 pm Eastern on Sundays 12 years 6 months ago #28753

For all the people that is wondering about some of my comments 2 weeks ago "that I would not wait on VLR to finish" yes I did say that. One reason for the comment, someone who was running the VLR event told us it would be a while before they was done. But before we started they got done and came and run the ERL event. So I thought all was good. Then last night 4-23-12 10:00 pm came around and we was ready to start, someone came into our vent and said they had just finished the C-Main at VLR it would be a while for them would we wait. Turbo and I decided to wait a few minutes, guys that was already at the ERL event started asking why we was waiting on them. Start time says 10, it was not their fault that VLR was running late. So I (ERL_Goat) not Turbo not anyone else made the decision to start at 10:15pm. We ran the heat races and had the lineup for the features as some of the guys from the VLR race came in and asked if they could tag. Turbo and I said yes. Then I told Turbo starting next week if you do not race a heat race you do not race a feature. I am no way trying to cause a conflict with VLR. Yes I was thinking about doing this on Friday or Saturday. I thought though when real racing season starts people will not make our league events. So I went with Sunday at 10:00 pm, at that time VLR was scheduled for 7:30 pm giving them plenty of time to run their event and ERL. The Midnight series was scheduled at 12:00 am at that time which would give us plenty of time to get the ERL event over. So with that said I am not asking anyone to change their times around for us. We will race at 10:00pm on Sunday nights, if you are their at that time and you run a heat race, then you will race the feature. If not, then they are always the next week. ERL does care how many people shows up, but then again its not fair for the people that shows at 10 to have to wait til 10:15 to race. I hope this does not make people mad but if it does I am sorry you can not make everyone happy.

Goat...no worries man I am not mad at you at all and I dont think Shock is either.I think its just that theres a few guys that want to run both VLR n ERL and you know as well as I do that you cant control everything and sometimes theres just issues that arise that cause delays.I guess I'm blessed because I dont mind waiting a little while longer and most of the guys that run my series feel the same way.If they didnt then I guess they wouldnt hang around but we just spend the time practicing a lil more and BS'n,and we have a great time doing it.I've never had so much fun in this game as I have had in the midnight madness series! Also believe it or not the most fun is after were done racing and we just hang out for a couple hours or so in the woodshed where we have a blast. We sometimes get to having so much fun that I wake up the next day with my ribs sore from laughing. But eh..isnt that what its all about anyway?"having fun!"Some people "DB" sometimes just talk out thier azz because thier mouths know better, its impossible for me to step on your toes because I'm walking behind you and even stop n wait for you to get where your going before I proceed.I only moved our start time back a lil to help accomadate folks that wanted to attend and for that very reason I will also wait a lil.Besides its not like its an every night thing and it aint hurting any of us at the midnight madness series either way.You just keep doing what you been doing Goat and you'll be just fine, were all adults here and we can all figure out how to get along one way or another.Thank you for what you do man and best of luck to ya.You have a blessed day Brother and we'll c-ya @ the races!

That's cool and as you read in the other thread we would have been done by 10 last night but my internet was out so Wheel was running the show and did so on short notice without the automatic lineup maker. And the first week we were done before ERL started so I'm not sure who said we wouldn't be. And I think last nights race finished at 10:23. But I think running heat races, two C Mains, a 20 lap B Main, and a 50 plus lap A Main in less than an hour most nights is pretty good, and it's mostly because everything we got is automated now with the live qualifying and lineup sheets, except last night we didn't have the lineup sheets so doing it by hand takes a lot longer than a computer program doing all the work for you.
