Multiplayer (Join IP) 15 years 4 months ago #2875

Having trouble connecting with friends by using the "Join IP" option. Any suggestions?

Or would it be easier just to create a game through Game Spy? If so, how?

Are you typing in the right IP? Are you sure their server will allow other people to connect? Also, are you including the port number after typing in the server IP? For example, are you typing in something like 123.45.678.90, or 123.45.678.90:32240 ?

been a long time since ive tried putting up my own server , it used to be easy , now i think you need to figure out how to let your firewall accept your server being up

i would suggest going into browser and trying to race in either a vlr or doit named room

im sure someone else has better knowledge on this than i

thats exactly what needs to be done - just wondering if anyone knew how to alter the fire wall so you can do so...

Yes. I am typing in the right IP for sure. A friend of mine changed his firewall so we can play when he is the host. All we need to type in is his IP. But i also forget to ask him what he had to do to in order for it to work. I was wondering if anyone on here knew how to do that.
