Ok,I tried being a nice guy about this and i want EVERYONE ELSES imput on this..I will post the LAST LAP FINISH AT THE LINE..AND THE "KOOL DOWN LAP" that everybody knows to take if they see they finished too close..And just to be sure that something does not get said about my call or my series..i will post the whole convo between me and Ice..So please tell me what you think.

here's the Convo between me and Ice over the Call that was made that awarded TXR_Tj3 the win..Now keep in mind..this is a person that is for a replay right call comittee..but feels that the replay should not matter and just go by MR RESULTS..now we all know that split times and mr results can give different times...and its always up to VIEW THE PROOF of a replay correct?..Ok..with that..read what he tells me..Enjoy!!

BootHeel: Hey man..If you happen to have that replay send it to me..cuz from Tj's and my replay it shows him beating you the length of a tire the whole width of the flag stand
WFO_ICE: i didnt save it...i was about to piss my pants...but it wasnt even close
BootHeel: Ok,well i figured i'd let you know what the other replay was showin cuz from fame 372.78 to 372.83..tj's car was ahead the whole time

Bummer that this happens but what do ya do. We all use the replay for all sorts of disputes. Right or Wrong it's the line in the sand, the benchmark, the standard. Replay is all we got to go by in this game. Love the game, but it is not without it's problems. Good practice to always save replay so you have your point of view. At some point we will all be faced with this situation.

But, it's been fun running the TXR ghost series, it's a whole different animal.

Screenshot shows TJ winning, but how would ICE's show him ahead a tenth? I've never ran those cars but it would be weird to be THAT far ahead on the mr_results and then everyone's replay show someone else ahead. So what could have caused TJ to be ahead on some replays and then ICE ahead by a tenth on his? Was it warpy or what? I don't see how that could happen.

dont ask me i know i was close to him the last few laps and was there racing for win i thought he seen me we both took another lap i know split time show 0 a cross it so i ask after race from him to save his replay so we could see but guess he did not hear me and where is vlr vent at

It's down right now Tj...we're gonna get a new one before the season starts, though.

On topic, though...that's a hard call to make. If ICE's replay and Mr showed that he won it's hard to go against that, but if everyone else's replay showed Tj won then that makes it sound like a problem with ICE's computer or something...or it could have even been with Tj's pc.

I know VLR_18 has froze before while leading and fell to second at the finish, but the mr_results would show him winning by 4 or 5 car lengths. When that happens, we go by the replay which would show whoever crossed the line first as the winner.

So even if 18 couldn't help it, it's kinda like him hitting the wall or something and everyone catching him, even though on the mr results it still shows him way out front.

ice did not save his replay so we dont know what his showed

That's just it though. No replay from Ice. I guess being a ghost chassis race you wouldn't think you need it. I've got in the habit off saving all replays at least for a couple days. But thats a habit for settling disputes at our events. We've all seen the mr show a different time. It's unreliable at best.

I got a bad habit of saving all my replays too, lol. Heats, everything except hots. Takes up a lotta space though.

I do the same but I delete them. I only keep a couple weeks unless It's our event. Then I keep them for the season, but I move them out of the game after a couple weeks. Startin to do the same thing with tracks. I just move them in when ever i need them and then back out. I try not to keep more than 10 or so tracks in the game at a time.

It must be something with the ghost cars. It makes for great finishes but for some reason the game has a hard time with finishing orders. The same thing happened in the B main with me and pit. Right after the race we both thought I nipped him at the line and when we checked the replays he said he nipped me in his and in my replay I beat him. I gave up the spot because he is in the points battle but it could have been a big thing if we pushed the issue. Maybe just say ties go to the guy that started further ahead or something like that.

I can see this being a sticking point in the future. Maybe it could be decided by points or as you said 34, where they started the race. This is all altimately up to boot though. I'm never too concerned with points, but at some point I'm gonna win that first feature and I would hate to have this all happen then. Some preventive measures might be a good idea.

this is one of those times that "Right Call" could have been used (if all players involved had saved thier replays)

and like turbo said , ultimately it comes down to whom evers series it is , they way they call it , especially without all information being present from all sides involved

its definitely a head scratcher , at how some chassis can kinda trick the game

Just to put my $.02 in, I seen Ice's car disappear and reappear, warp maybe, there were cars that had over 100 ping and AMP! froze with 2 to go, I seen Ice fly around and then I was in 4th, then at the finish line, right before the checkered flag dropped i went to 5th. So my $.02 is that the winner always gets checkered and the 2nd place car has to make the "Kool Down Lap" to finish the race, right, or is it opposite of that? Hell IDK all I know is I lost the points lead and the race dammit!

When the ghost car was origanly made by IGGR there were clocking files removed from the Car file (the part you can't edit) this was done so that the cars could drive through each other without contact being made. that being said the game also lost some clocking on the cars, clocking is part of the server sync that is suppose to know where the car is at all times, and as you know with out the clocking removed it is a hard enough task for the server to sync all the cars perfectly. Therefor it would be my opinion that the car that crossed the start/finish line first may not have been in sync and the read of Mr, Results may not have read the finish order correctly and on the server side results could also be corrupt. So its really just a guessing game when running Ghost cars thats the chance you take when running these type cars, I belive Rowdy makes a good point that more replays show Tj3 the clear winner and had Ice saved his replay it might have shown the same. JMO

I think i made the right call regardless...Ice was told to save his replay at the end of the race and it still didnt save it..and he said he didnt think he needed to cuz they was ghost cars..gotta think about it..just cuz their ghost cars dont mean that the finishes still wont be close..and if i remember correctly..on his last season..someone didnt save the replay after he told them to..and they got last place for not sendin a replay..now..Ice was told to..and still did not save one..so to me..he's lucky he kept 2nd place...now..Mine and 3 other replays showed Tj still winning and IF Ice did send his in and it showed him winning which I dont think it would have anyways..Would'nt you go by Majority Ruling on how many replays shows of one result?..If so..Tj still gets credit for the win...But i honestly still do not get that this is someone who is using the right call commitee..someone who was supposed to set an example for ppl to wanna use the "RCC"..but he came to my series and had the nerve to tell me to go buy MR Results and not by what a replay shows...now if he's gonna be like that..then he just did a complete 180 cuz that goes against everything he believes in as far as the "RCC" is concerned does it not..cuz out of habit..ALL of us who is in a race with a finish that close at the line ALWAYS SAVES their replay they yall not?..and then sends it to the owner or whoever for them to look at to get the call right cuz u can never go by MR Results..Pefect example..i ran a DOIT race a season or 2 ago..and me and buck came to the line MR Results showed i had one..but Karl looked at the replay and it showed Buck crossing the line 1st.....But Ice "the person who is for "RCC" is telling me dont go by what a replay says..only go by what MR Results say"...Does anybody else besides me think thats a lil messed up?
