dtr dtrsc problem 14 years 1 month ago #1734

Does anybody know how to fix this problem. When I'm going to start a new career an error saying can't find composed textures/car0_m_tex1? or somethng like that. I know most people don't play those games but I enjoy fitting them with stuff I learned on DTR2.

Hi Darren, check the texture name in the texture file of your skin folder. If you're playing the older game, it is possible you have the texture with 256 or 512 written in there. Otherwise the str file is at fault.Another problem could be that the file named in your skin folder is incorrect or in the series, it is not corresponding, which will stop you racing in Career Mode. Check those bud.
In DTR2 if converting from your older game, it's easy enough to change things to suit.... It should have 256texture written there. Converting skins over from DTR-SC or DTR in some cases also requires changing the str file to a compatible one, being a DTR2 str. You can pretty much choose any from your existing DTR2 skin files and simply paste in there, replacing the old str remembering ofcourse to change the details inside with notepad. Leadfoots all have to be replaced, so try that. DTR2 requires [256texture]tga or [512texture]tga, alright. Hope that clears it up for you. Let us know.
