He sent me some more tracks F1yer. Hopefully he'll post here if it's ok for me to send them to you. He doesn't want to release them till they are really good he said, but I thought they were awesome esp. for just having the de2 editor.

Ya we talked through PM last night and he got Rhino and then I went to bed. He told me he couldn't get the macros to work so I sent him a message this morning and so hopefully he'll figure it out now. Since he knows de2 already it should be pretty easy

You can do that cause I'm not sure. I told him how but if he doesn't figure it out this time you can tell him the way to do it without macro's so he can get started

Hey guys thanks for the props. Shock if ya wanna post those tracks i sent you its cool i will get better. F1yer i get as far as trying to save the csv file on excel as Text(MS-DOS) test track( which is my experimental track) may contain features which are not compatible with Text (MS-DOS) ...so im stuck again....damn cant wait to actually get this opened up in Rhino. I might actually be able to figure the rest out easier. I am in no way a computer wiz so ms-dos and such terms makes little sense to me. Thanks for all your help guys....be patient I WILL GET THIS. Nice to talk to people who actually understand this and have similar passion for it. I will stay in touch.

Hey Raymond, it says that every time but it will still let you save it. That's just kind of a warning message but it's all good. Just save it as ms-dos txt file like the tutorial says and the rename the .txt part to .raw file after closing Excel.

Just keep going with that and you're ready to open it in Rhino once you change the .txt to .raw. Disregard the warning

Try this:

Open up a folder (any folder, like I told you earlier in a PM).

Go to Organize>Folder and search options>View tab

Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"

and then it should show the .txt at the end of the file. Let me know if that works.

Worth the weight eh?

Mostly we use the transform tab with the scale and rotate functions. Other than that it's mostly moving objects around and raising/lowering stuff. We do our ALP and AI in Rhino also, everything is much faster than the de2 editor. I think you could make your OCFS really great with it

yeh ray rhino is the shizz for tracks.......the more you use it the more stuff u learn how to use and how to manipulate some of the older functions u start with also.we all still learnin and weve been usin it for years but the tracks keep gettin more detailed also.

Hey Ray another thing...

I don't know if you know this but lets say you want to select all the haulers at a track at the same time. Well, just select one and hold down shift to continue the selection and drag your mouse over the rest of them. If you accidentally select something wrong like the ground then hold down the ctrl button while dragging your mouse over it to deselect it...
