This is regarding DTR SC.

I inserted this and this is how the display and on track car looks like.

what did i do wrong? did I need to make the image flat in my image editor or something?

You most likely compressed the TGA file. When you save it as a TGA, make sure it's UNCOMPRESSED. That should fix it I think, not as sure with DTRSC but that's most likely what it is.

Yes gimp has what's called RLE COMMPRESSION. I unchecked it and now it works.
