Don't know how many of you read Speedway Illustrated , but in the Jan. 2011 issue they have a great article of the Valley Sportsman Class from the Merced Speedway in California www.racemerced.com .. If you haven't seen these things they are in 1 word wild..Was wondering if any talented editor would be interested in doing these for DTR2.. yenko2

F1yer maybe you could base them off the winged outlaw mod or maybe some of the angry aussies 70-80's type mods or even the coupes and squareback chassis..Just a thought these would be fun and look different for the game..plus since these would be a slower sportsman type class would a good open wheel rookie class..

I remember I tried to edit off the NZ stockcars along time ago and had problems with the side bars... suspension points errors and gave up..

I know this is aging as a topic but I've been in limbo for a couple of months so have a good excuse to reply to you now Al.... Those Mods look wicked don't they. Love them. DirtNZ created tyhe first of the NZ Stockcars and one of them was the UK styled one, although the wing is not shaped as the Valley Sportsman Class. I have the originals plus the Concord chassis which I spent 2 days re-editing after bringing it into DTR2 which no one else will have. I feel I have done enough to share the edit with DirtNZ and I'm sure he'd agree. If not he should write in here and say so but his original edit was the best thing in the eyes of all kiwi racers in those days, let me tell ya'.

FL.... As soon as I get my garage built, all my stuff will get moved here the this house and I will send you a copy or copies of both the stockies plus the Winged Mods to work with, and I too am going to have me some fun ..... I've always had ideas too of a Stockcar chassis similar to this that Al is sharing but without the wing.

Thanks for sharing with us Al.

Paul are those the same chassis that Screamin let me convert to DTR2.Think they where called the Demonchild and something else and where for DTRSC at the time.. I know that there was a NZ Modified also out but not sure if they are the same as the converted ones that I did as I sent them back to screamin for him to use over there..The Valley Sportsman are more a older 50-80's body style such as vega, firebird, corvair, and even a 57 chevy..Thought about using angries 70-80 type mods didn't he have a vega and pinto type chassis but not sure and no time to play with it right now..Feel free to send anything you want as I will look and try when I get time plus I won't release or share them unless we agree on it..To glad to see you start developing some newer stuff as its been awhile..Thanks my friend!!

I'd like to give these a go. I have tried to do a wingless NZ Stockcar... Shorty and I were in the throws of doing so when I made a decision to pull the plug on KDSR. Pity things went so bad there for me.. What might have been but then here we are, 4 years on and I turn up here. I have been slacking in the car building department and the track editing too, apart from fixing up tracks... I have so much stuff I have to sort out in my own game and it's just a matter of sifting through it all and finding the very best for the lads and gals here at Team VLR. But I will send you the DTRSC Stockcars of DirtNZ. I'm sure as long as you give him the credit, he'll be happy, like all us editors would... The Modifieds you already have so leave it with me Al. Will send via email as usual when I have them here...

It's goodnight me, and goodnight from him....

Cheers my friend.
Oops.. That's not a Winged Modified... Thats a Super Saloon. Here it is....

Looking pretty good demonic !!! This class is a real wild one according to the article and as far as body styles anything goes from 1980 under... So far i've seen 57 chevy, 74 vega, 64 ford, 68 camaro and firebird, 66 corvair in pictures so for DTR2 maybe just a generic style or 1-2 different types..Of course thats all up to you and how much work you want to do with them...Again so far looks great demonic !!!

Tried looking for the program, but no real luck. Any chance you could give us a DL link or something. Would be much appreciated.
