guys ive been looking around on old forums and such trying to find some info if there is a better way to make new de2 files for dtr2.one of the old forums mentioned a version of the de2 editor that doesnt require registration to do certain things in the de2 files.if we could find this version of the de2 editor this would be a huge leap for dtr2.a very few people got this version as ratbag didnt mean for it to be public but it got out somehow.the version of de2 editor is DE2EDITOR V1.03 .....EVERYONE PLEASE KEEP YOURS EYES OUT FOR IT,ASK OLD GUYS YOU KNOW FROM YEARS PAST,GOOGLE IT,LETS DO WHATEVER WE CAN TO FIND THIS AS MAYBE WE COULD MAKE MODELS AS ADVANCED OR BETTER THAN RFACTOR...........WE CANNOT STOP UNTIL WE FIND THIS!!!!!!!


P.S. IF YOU HAVE OTHER VERSIONS PLEASE POST THEM HERE AT VLR ALSO.IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE EVERY VERSION OF IT.

Great topic F1... It would be great to find this editor you mention although I doubt if it ever was for DL. Did check jsn with your li9nk but no v1.03 after the name. I have about 2 doz discs full of DL's. Will check laster on today but dopn't hod ur breath. Anotherr great source would have to be our dear friend Yenko.... I wonder Al if you know how to contact Matt Tuckett aka Angry Aussie? Pity when onen ever went on his site and looked for the editor he had on offer, and all you got was a message twith a picture of a finger up, and the caption read "go f**k yourself". Pity we had many like that within the community that didn't like to share the knowlege to all editors or even the future ones, in order to keep DTR2 alive.

In response to your comments in the rFactor topic, I do feel for you F1. It is hard to edit anything in that game. You require permission before you even begin building it, which tells you that really, it's too much like hard work to get it accepted by the Admin. It's like everything is copywrited which to me sucks. That's why I enjoy messing with our game. Not everyone appreciates the effort, but still..; it doesn't come back in waives of sneering amd abuse which should never be.

On another note, you and Shock and also Jammin are fine editors on this team, and inclde Demonic in that as he was using an editor called Milkshake... I look up to all you guys,and appreciate you in this Community; ffor without you, this game would have died a graceful death. You guys have the knowlege that I am yet to tackle but I know your willing to share. For me regarding Rhino eg is an age thing.., but I am a trier....

Question...?? Is it possible to have some tutorials on the following subjects...

1 = Moving and placing objects using Rhino.
2 = Adding objects using (alp.)file.

If there are others out there too that may have found a program to edit the named texture files incl adding extra textures within De2 then let's hear about that or give us the link. Wishful thinking.

hey guys i found the de2editor but it didnt do what i hoped it would.shock and i are still on the lookout for ways to achieve what we are looking to do but it is probably gonna be a long drawn out proccess that is just gonna take time and patience.

ps paul.as soon as i get a little spare time i will make u some tutorials on the things you asked about.

does anyone have the xxr tracks with the jumps and stuff on them? the only 1 i found is xx-Groveton.if anyone has them please post them here at vlr and post in this topic.

All I have are these does that help? Guess it won let me load em!!! I have the CORR Series tracks, Atlantic City, Miami, Hungary, Morristown, Eastbourne, Bracken Bowl, Quebeck, Denmark, Eastside Showgrounds, Black Rock, and Freeport!
