VLR Accomplishments

Since VLR's debut in July of 2004, many members have come and gone, and some have been 'better' than others, and almost all of them have left with them a great since of accomplishment from joining VLR, and thus I salute all of the VLR member's who have helped pave the way to making this one of the best DTR2 'teams' around today, so thank you guys, and I hope you continue on in DTR2, and leave behind a lasting impression, and tell everyone you can about VLR, Thanks guys, VLR_Shock.

August 2004, The very first VLR 'team' race was held at Huset's and it was dominated by former VLR member "iam4rcr3", he won the race by nearly 5 seconds over second place, lloydwv316. A total of 6 drivers showed up. iam4rcr3 had the best lap, of 10.36 in late models.


October 30th 2004, The second ever VLR race, held at Williams Grove Speedway, was a great battle all the way thru, it was filled with up and downs, such as when the pole sitter, VLR_rdrunner, had PC troubles midway thru the race while leading, and that allowed VLR_WV Dirt to capitalize on the mistake, and he drove his car to the victory by less than one second over second place, VLR_Dude, VLR_Shock was third and rdrunner had the best lap of 13.68 in a late. Shock had the 2nd best lap of 13.73.


VLR verses TSL in the first ever 3on3 dtr2 matchup, and wins after TSL 'forfeited' and left the server, It was held at Bloomington, and VLR_rdrunner had the best lap of 10.83 in a late.


January 1st, 2005, The third ever VLR race was held at Terre Haute Action Track, it was a very good race, with a close finish. VLR_Dude came out on top after the 40 laps of pure adrenilane in a very close race. Seven drivers trekked out to Indiana to compete in the event. VLR_rdrunner finished second and had the best time of 14.10 just above Dude's 14.11.


January 8th, 2005, The very next week after Terre Haute, the driver's made their way to Rodeo. It was a good race from the start. VLR_rdrunner managed to win his third consecutive pole with a 15.15. Shock managed to get a hard earned second place qualifying attempt with a 15.21. The racing action was great. VLR_rdrunner, VLR_tink79, and VLR_Shock went three wide on the first two laps of action. VLR_tink then accidently down shifted into neutral causing his car to spin. This allowed VLR_Shock to capitalize on this mistake and jump out to a small lead over 2nd place VLR_rdrunner. The lead would be short lived as Shock was passed soon after by rdr, and he never looked back. He one the race by over 6 seconds to become the first VLR driver ever to win from the pole. VLR_JTR managed to get around Shock for 2nd. Shock had the best time of 14.90 in a late.

VLR_rdrunner wins KPR race at Spindale. He also had fast time of 12.81.

VLR_INDY stands fourth in the EVR Quick X series in which you have to be invited into at Eagle Speedway.

VLR_Matt finishes second in a KPR race at Harrison.
VLR_Matt finishes third in a KPR race at Peakview.
VLR_rdrunner finishes second in a KPR race at Peakview.
VLR_Tink79 finishes fourth in a KPR race at Peakview.
Congratulations to VLR_Shock for winning segment one of the 40 lap race at Knox on Feb. 5th, 2005. A turnout of 14 VLR drivers made their way to the track. It was a great race.
