I've always wondered that since the first time I seen this video, that wreck messed Swindell up pretty good. I would have had that track by the balls after something like that. "DEBRIS IN TURN 1, HURRY YOU CAN BEAT HIM TO IT!" lmao

He broke bones in both hands and he cracked a knee cap. I think messed him up bad is a bit of an understatement.


I was gonna say that you would have to be some kind of special idiot to drive out onto the track with the car coming around at speed.......but then again I've seen people try to cross the track at Fonda between 3 and 4 to get to the infield as the cars come around to take the green....

I was at this race, Sammy was trying to see his qualifying time on the infield scoreboard. The next car was coming to Qualify and when it came out, it stalled at first. The push truck missed the access road to turn off once the car got fired and that is why the truck was still even on the track.. And they are turning under 13 second laps! Not a lot of time to react. Stilll puzzles me that the flagman did not see The truck in the middle of the track! The sound it made was something like I've never heard before, and just took your breath away. He was very fortunate to have only suffered these injuries.
