So I was listening to the radio and they were talking about golf and their 4 majors so it got me thinking and I was wondering if we could have 4 Major's for DTR2 and heres my thoughts:

Spring Fling for the Gen5's (or whatever the LM car is a the time)
Gobbler 100 - For the TNL
Modified Nationals @ Boone Sprint (Thinkin USMTS MOD)
Knox Nationals in the BLS Sprint 410 (could hold one for each class)

Let me know what you guys think and maybe a couple teams would step up and run some of these

I would run the knox nationals.

Could you use the concept mods (game default) for the mod nationals? Seems they are a lil harder to drive, and would make for some great racin. The USMTS are great cars, but are the concepts faster? Just a lil thought.

I think the BBM v5 are the best of the bunch for the mods but if BLS was willing to host this they could run it however they wanted

F1yer and BLS picked up the Sprints and will likely be running at Kokomo in the BLS 410s.
Shock and VLR picked up the modifieds and a track hasnt been discussed

Also Shock is wanting to get a 5th Major in the new BLS Crates. I ran XCR in those last night and they were a blast. I even put my late model skin on it and did it all by myself...mom is so proud!

Uh if those crates because I'm 1 of the races then we want them and someone else can have the modified

i dont like the usmts mods.....i may redo the imca sportmod and add a spoiler and call it somethin else.....maybe those would b better.

Works for me...Mine was all suggestions so you do with it what you want

So now it looks like we will have 5 majors....The TNL (prostock) style cars and the Modifieds are open if a team wants to host them

Gen 5 - Spring Fling Track TBD each year...held 3rd Tuesday of March
Modified - TBD
BLS 410 Sprints - Date TBD @ Kokomo
TNL - Gobbler 100 - Track TBD...Held Tuesday before Thanksgiving
BLS Crates - TBD

I think if we can get these on the schedule early then the teams can schedule around them and nobody double books those dates

And Ill go ahead and keep the Spring Fling and the Gobbler 100

Since these are DTR2 Community Major races, they should probably follow the same rules and race format. That way they're all basically the same with the only differences being cars and track (Possibly vent depending on who puts it on unless somebody chooses to provide a vent solely for the purpose of running these majors out of)

J-Mac is running the BBM v5's now and I think he would be a good one to run the modifieds! *hint hint*

Funny I didnt see your post till after my last post...I know VLR has a 50 person vent as does DOIT and I know DOIT would and im 99% sure VLR wouldnt have an issue with it. I dont know how big the other teams vents are but I would be willing to bet that either of those teams would supply the vents for them.

I bet most the rules would be universal and I wouldnt have any problem with getting with the other teams and coming up with a set of rules, But if BLS didnt want to do qualifying I think that would be their prerogative or like the Spring Fling and VLR does it where you qualify and invert the top 4 in each heat or if you wanted to run it straight up from qualifying.

You've almost talked me into running a modified race Ice. I even went out and found a good date for it (if I was running it of course)

Most are universal but some leagues have their own rule or 2 that set them apart from every other league. (VLR with live qualifying, SDC with random wetnesses, XCR saying that if you get wrecked by somebody you can dump them back without punishment) It would set these races apart from everything out there if these were all ran the exact same way. (same way of doing lineups, same # of laps, etc etc)

Fudge you got in my head. V5 mods. 6/20. I'll come up with a track between now and June.

Yeah people can use our vent. I want to run the crates asap cause I haven't really got to run them yet and I hear they're really good
