SMETHPORT, PA (February 7, 2011) – 22 of the fastest drivers on dirt made their way to the historic 3/8 mile track knowns as McKean County Raceway to do battle in the heart of Pennsylvania.

Heat 1 kicked off with VLR_Shock coming from the back to the front to pick up the win, with Doit 15 out dueling teammate Doit 5 for the final transfer spot.

In heat 2 Wheel (VLR_18) would use the bump and run to get around Stealth for the win but Stealth would come home 2nd, with second place point man WFO_Rainman just missing out on the transfer position in the second heat.

Heat 3 featured WFO_Ranger taking off from the pole and cruising to the win, Ice would get around Tony for 2nd and advance to the eight lap Snicker’s Fast Dash.

The Snicker’s Dash would see Shock on the pole and he would never look back as he would pull away from the field for the win. Wheel would get 2nd and Stealth would come home 3rd. Ice would get 4th, Ranger 5th, and Doit 15 would bring home 6th.

Rac would bring home the win in the “C” Main with Gates, Scrub, and RB advancing to the “B” for one more chance at making the prestigious 35 lap A main event.

In the “B” Main Rainman would grab the checkers while Doit5, McGee, and Rampage will find their way to the “A” Feature on this night filled with star studded drivers.

The “A” Main would get off to a rough start on lap two as Stealth would get into Wheel going into turn one and grab second. Wheel would run it hard into turn 3 and get Stealth to recapture the second spot.

This contact allowed Shock to pull away and get to a comfortable lead just a couple of laps into the A Main. On lap 6 Ice would try to get under Stealth for the third spot but would hit the brakes hard and lose some time when the hole closed up in front of him.

By lap fifteen WFO_Rainman had moved from his 7th starting spot and get up to fifth. Things began to get more interesting on lap 18 when the fans would see Ice catch back up to and pass Stealth for the 3rd spot and start to reel in Wheel for the 2nd spot.

It was all for naught however, as Shock would maintain his lead and never be challenged heavily throughout the distance and would collect his third win at WFO in just four races this season.

In the process he extended his points lead to fifteen points over Rain and Ice. Wheel would motor home across the line in second and Ice would finish third. Stealth and Rain would round out the top five finishers.

McGee would finish sixth in his first start at WFO this season, with teammate VLR_Rampage bringing home the seventh spot. Doit 5, Doit 15, and Ranger would round out the rest of the ten starters on this frigid night in the Pennsylvania hills.

We caught up to Shock after the race asked him about his dominance so far this season at WFO. “I’ve been on a roll here this year. I love the crates and I’ve had some tracks I'm good at and gotten lucky once or twice. I’m just hoping that I can continue my great run and bring home a championship to VLR while racing at a series like WFO."

Wheel was happy to finish unscathed this week even if it wasn't quite the finish he was hoping for. “I’ve had the worst luck at WFO and was waiting to see what was going to go wrong tonight. For once nothing real bad happened and I was able to get a good finish.”

Ice was pretty happy with his 3rd place finish, “I had a great car tonight, especially at a track I don’t really like but I got hooked up and was one of the faster cars tonight. I’m going to keep plugging away and see what happens.”

On another note Doit 49 aka Tony was racing in memory of his uncle who had passed away earlier in the week. The DTR2 community would like to send our heartfelt condolences to Tony and your family.

WFO will be at The Rock 2k11 next week in WFO action. Hope to see you all there!!!
