Glanville's car burns to hell after raceJoe Roberson's quest of domination continues Thursday as he notched his second straight victory in the wildest modified race to date. He went on to lead every lap while all the action was taking place behind him. On lap 3, Jason King's wheel came loose and hit the wall. As his car bounced off the wall, he was hit causing his car to get into the catchfence. A few laps later, Semmelmann and Glanville raced hard for the second position but it wouldnt last long as Semmelmann drifted up and caught Glanville's quarter panel causing Glanville to spin. As the laps wound down the top 4 were spread out due to all the chaos. On the last lap Rick Phillips' tire exploded sending debris into the stands injuring three spectators. After the race was over, Glanville's car caught fire and burned to the ground. But at the end of all the carnage it was Roberson holding the trophy high.

Semmelmann crossed the line in second followed by Cardwell with another strong run. Glanville came home fourth after his excursion with Cavaliero coming home in 5th after a disaster the week before. Rounding out the field were Rookie, Phillips and King. Shadduck, the point leader going into the race, no showed.
