Dateline... May 13, Muskogee Speedway:

Josh Hall, driving the FMF_Sideways #22, scored the biggest win of his young career Thursday May 13th by taking the checkers in the DTRSC SimSprint World Championship. Sideways, know as 'Sidey' to his fellow racers, started in the 2nd row of the 50 lap Feature and took advantage of a lap 3 multi car pile up, then ran down leader FUO_Azzkikr on his way to the big win. FUO_Azzkikr held off challenges of SBS_Doc to score the runnerup spot. TD_Joeduck came all the way from the back row to finish 4th behind Doc, while Nassy vet, Giovanni topped off a super night with a 5th place finish.

101 racers entered the big show. 75 racers attempted to qualify for the 56 car fileld.

Dennis Lykins, Highside88, who set fast time in qualifying with a blistering 14.35, sat on the pole for the Feature. However, FUO_AzzKikr got under Highside early and moved to the front. Highside was then involved in the multi-car melee on lap 3, that delegated 5 top hotshoes catch up duty. 9 of the 10 A Feature starters turned Feature laps in the 14.30s, with SBS_Doc setting scorching 14.29 Fast Lap! yes its DTRSC , i found it on an old Western Open Wheel site , formerly WoW , also raced in dtr2 with sprint add ons and modifieds , i raced with them in dtr2 a few times in the mods , maybe sprints a few , if memory serves they raced late fri or sat nights at midnight eastern? after mofo raced

FMR,FUO, SBS,TD, WoW all great teams from the past...believe SBS is active in rFactor still and the rest are gone..A few familar names on that list as well. But 101 cars entered and 75 showed up is mind blowing...Qualifying must have been a marathon and heats would have been like features..Good ole days..Keep digging DeadBolt loving these trips down memory lane...Also if you come across a active site with working DTRSC/DTR downloads save the addy for us would ya.Enjoy searching myself but been running into deadends alot lately.. yenko2

Well did some digging around the graveyard and found this oldie from DTR days..Anyone remember the old WFO/WROS League this was back around 2001/2002 and was run by Chris Murphy..Here is a link to the old forums..See if you know any of the names and there is alot of still interesting subjects and tips if you run DTR/DTRSC on setups etc.. http:// www.network54.com/Forum/55838/

Shock I told ya I've been around these games for sometime .. I just collect pictures off websites and other places and alot are of my own..
