The fans of DTR2 were treated to a great double header on Monday night as the Lucas Oil Tier Series (LOTS) ran the Gen 5's at Lawrenceburg Speedway and WFO ran the USMTS Mods at Thunder Valley v4.

In the LOTS VLR_Shock was trying to win for the third straight week from dead last. WFO Ice jumped out to an early lead but was followed closely by WFO 11 who would eventually pass him on lap nine at the super racy brand new 3/8 mile track. Ice would remain right on his bumper until taking back the lead on lap twenty.

Wheel would use this battle to make his presence known after starting seventh. The Brookfield Bomber would take over the lead on lap 25 but it was Shock who was charging up through the field from the back row. Shock would make his way around WFO 11 on lap 27 and would start putting pressure on Wheel and Ice for the lead.

VLR_Shock would eventually make his way to the lead as Ice and Wheel would start to battle for 2nd allowing Shock to put a little distance between them after taking over the lead around lap 36 of 40. Ice would grab 2nd coming to the white flag but Wheel would pull a great slide job coming out of turn 4 to secure the runner-up spot.

Shock however made it three wins in a row at the LOTS series and would extend his points lead over teammate VLR_Mcgee to 23 points and with 4 weeks remaining is in control of winning the 1st ever LOTS Championship.

At WFO the A-Main kicked off with Wheel and Ice on the front row. Ice would use the outside groove to grab the early lead, however Wheel would quickly apply pressure  and battle back and by lap 6 there was a 4 way battle for the lead with Ice, Wheel, Rain, and Shock.

JW, 17va, and BW would start to battle for the 5th position keeping a steady distance from the leaders until on lap 9 they would find their way to the lead pack making it a 7 car battle for the lead.  The top 4 however would be 3 and sometimes 4 wide for several laps  and by lap 17 you could throw a blanket over the top 6. At the 1/2 mark it was Wheel, Shock, Ice, Rain, JW, and BW putting on a hell of a show for the fans at Thunder Valley.

On lap 24 JW, Rain, and Ice would make contact allowing long time rivals Shock and Wheel to break away from the rest of the pack. By lap 35 Shock and Wheel had distanced themselves and it was a 2 car battle for the win. On the last lap once again it would be Shock holding off Wheel for the win and was able to pull off an impressive double-double and gained his sixth major league race in a row.

Shock's engine was tore down after the race but results are currently inconclusive. Come back next week as the LOTS series is at the Dirt Track @ Charlotte 2k13 and WFO is at LaSalle 2013 and see if anyone can knock Shock off the top step of the podium.
