Terre Haute, IN (March 23, 2011)- 23 of the best drivers in DTR2 started arriving in the pits as a blanket of excitement and the smell of Sunoco racing fuel filled the air, along with a strong odor of marijuana emitting from BLS_v6's hauler.

There was a dense fog over the track...or possibly it was the marijuana smoke, but it would add another element to tonight's racing, as if it wasn't going to be hard enough to win for the drivers already with the level of competition that came out.

Heat 1 had McGee and Doit 3 transferring to the Gen4 A main. The rest of heat 1 finishing order would be BLS 33, XCR B58, BLS 42, VLR BG, Axman21 and Squirrel.

Heat 2 would have F1yer and recent hotshoe and last weeks winner VLR JW crossing the line first and second to go straight to the A main while VLR 18, WFO Rain,ERL Blackjack, BLS Jsn, Faschek and BLS Deadbolt would have to try their luck in the Bmain.

Heat 3 would have Dk and Doit5 crossing the line to make the Amain as well. IFRT14, BLS 34, IFRT Jim, ERL Turbo and new comer Teabag would have to refuel their Gen4 late models and make a few adjustments and try to get into the Amain through the B.

Bmain1 would have WFO Rainman and BLS 33 taking 2 of the 4 remaining Gen4 Amain spots. IFRT Jim, BLS 42, IFRT 14, Squirrel and another new face in DTR2, Axman21 would move on to make up the inside row of the Renegade V8 Amain.

B2 had VLR 18 and XCR b58 advancing to A main. ERL Blackjack, Teabag, BG,Turbo and Deadbolt would transfer to the Renegade V8 Amain filling the outside line, but as Deadbolt was tightening up his belts and about to pull out onto the grid he caught BLS_v6 cutting his throttle cable while in a drugged up state and could not get it fixed in time to roll out. BLS 34 would roll out onto the track taking Deadbolts spot.

As the night grew darker and the lights got brighter it was finally time for the Gen4 feature event. Starting on pole would be fan favorite Mcgee and outside of him would be heat 2 winner BLS F1yer.
Row 2 would be BLS Dk and Doit3
Row 3 VLR JW and Doit5
Row 4 Rainman and VLR 18
Row 5 BLS 33 and XCR b58

As the 10 fastest drivers of the night rolled around the famed ½ mile on the formation lap the fans drew to their feet. The green flag waved and Mcgee would get a great start and slide out into his preferred outside line early as F1yer would ride the inside rail to stay within striking distance.

The 2 Drivers would have one of the most epic battles in DTR2 history and they would later swap the lead a few times but neither could gain any visual advantage. Mcgee knew how strong f1yer was on the bottom and he knew a big slider was coming on the last lap so he threw the block on as they dove into turn 1 for the final time.

Going down the backstretch McGee would show his nose toward the bottom a little too early and F1yer would use the draft to get his nose outside of McGee's right rear quarter.

as the 2 drivers raced their way through turns 3 and 4 they where neck and neck but with F1yer using the momentum of the highline he would nose ahead of Mcgee at the line by about half a car and zoom past the finish line just ahead of McGee

As F1yer celebrated with his team in victory lane fan favorite McGee came up to congratulate him but the crowd was not happy with F1 as they boo'd and threw beer cans at the Hickory, NC driver. Fortunately, some of the cans were not totally empty and F1yer promptly recycled the contents into his mouth, oblivious that the fans were actually trying to hit him. It seemed he thought they were trying to help him get his celebration started early.

F1yer also had a few words to say about the legendary McGee after the race. "McGee is the cleanest guy out there and one of the fastest. When you have race with him you know you're gonna be in for a battle and you're not gonna be buying fenders for the next week!"

VLR_Shock's mom ran out to congratulate F1yer after the race, but he slapped that bitch back and continued searching the track for potentially full beer cans while blowing kisses to the fans that stayed to watch his drunken celebration.

The rest of the finishing order went...BLS Dk, last weeks winner VLR JW, VLR 18, WFO Rain, Doit5, Doit3, XCR B58 and BLS 33.

BLS 42 would take home the feature win in the Renegade V8 series as VLR BG would come home a close second in his second race since his return to DTR2. Rounding out the finishing order would be IFRT Jim, IFRT 14, BLS 34, Squirrel, Axman21, Teabag, Blackjack and Turbo.
