January 15, 2019 – Bubba 60 Race Recap

VOLUSIA SPEEDWAY PARK – On a night of celebration for our friend Tommy Rowe Jr, Blake Cannon of Zero6 Motorsports had something to celebrate as well. Starting 17th in the field, Cannon maneuvered his way through the field methodically to take the checkered flag in the $150-to-win Bubba 60.

Cannon struggled early in the night, failing to finish in a transfer spot and forced into the B-Main. However, as the night progressed and the track progressively became rougher, Cannon thrived. “It was a fine line,” Cannon said in a post-race interview. “I just tried to tighten the car up without going overboard.”

Cannon was followed to the line by Canadian Alex Bergeron, who along with third-place finisher Dylonn Fox were tough competitors throughout the night. HRE Motorsports driver Keith Hackney and TTL Esports’ Nick Cooper rounded out the top 5.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the race, we can’t wait for the next one.
