Bloomington, Indiana: Rain was in the forecast when the WFO Tour rolled into the famed ¼ mile track in Bloomington, Indiana for some ultra tight racing. And Rain was what they got as WFO Rain was able to get the win and extend his points lead to 7 points with 1 race remaining.

Heat 1 would motor onto the track with Doit 2 and Stealth picking up the transfer spots.

Heat 2 would see Jammin and Wheel get to the front and make the 35 lap feature.

Heat 3 F1yer and Doit 5 would fight till the last lap to make the transfer spots.

The “Snicker’s” Dash would be a dogfight that Jammin would be able to hang on to win with F1, Wheel, Doit 5, Stealth, and Doit 2 setting the grid for the “A” Main.

In “B” Main #1 Rain and Pitcrew would jump out and never look back as the 2 drivers would advance to the “A” Main.

“B” Main #2 would see JR battle it out with 17d, Scrub, and Ice for several laps before JR and 17d would make contact allowing Ice to squirt through and take 2nd behind JR.

The “A” Main was finally upon us and Jammin and F1yer would lead the all-star list of drivers to the green flag. Early on it was a dogfight as the top 9 cars would be in the main pack. Wheel would catch some bad luck by being forced on the tight track and dropping back to 9th.

Lap 9 would see Ice make it 3 wide for the 5th position with JR and Doit 5. Doit 5 would get the wrong end of the battle as him and JR would make contact sending Doit 5 to the back of the pack. On lap 14 pole-sitter Jammin would get moved up the track and lose traction and almost spin to the infield. F1 would use this break in the action to gain the lead and start to extend it.

On lap 20 Rain would move from his 7th starting position up to 2nd by passing teammate Stealth and the 2 would bump draft up to F1yer and the race would be on for the lead. Stealth would drop back on lap 25 leaving F1yer and Rain to fight it out for the win. On lap 32 Rain would get to the inside of F1 and the 2 would go side by side for the final 3 laps.

Coming out of turn 4 on the white-flag lap F1yer would get underneath Rain and make it a side by side finish with Rain going off the track but crossing the line just before F1 and winning a thrilling race. Stealth would take home 3rd and Wheel would make the pass on Ice for 4th. Ice would round out the top 5.

Pitcrew would record his best finish of the year coming home 6th, and JR would get his best finish as well in 7th. Doit 5 would come home 8th after some early contact sent him to the back. Jammin could only muster a 9th and Doit 2 would limp home in 10th.

Rain was found celebrating in victory lane and said “Man what a race, I was able to run from the back and get some help and was able to pick up the win, feels good to beat a group of drivers like this and more importantly I was able to extend my points lead going into the WFO 100 next week at Thunderbird!”

We caught up to F1yer at his trailer “I let this one get away. Felt like I was pushed up out of the groove but it won’t do any good to complain. It’s a tight track and I guess that’s how you have to pass here.”

Wheel was at Ice’s trailer discussing the race “Man I got knocked around early and it really cost me a shot at the win. I would love to do it over again…Wait no I wouldn’t the same thing would probably happen again!”

Come out to WFO next week as we end our season at Thunderbird Speedway, the famed ½ mile track in Muskogee, Oklahoma. And the next WFO Champion will be crowned.
