Topeka, Ks: The WFO Tour rolled into Topeka with 20 drivers set to do battle at the multi-grooved KsT Speedway for the $20,000 1st place prize.

A loaded heat 1 would roll out onto the track with DK, JJ, Wheel, and Rain trying to advance to the feature. Wheel would get to the lead before an overheating problem would send him to the pits. Rain and DK would finish 1-2 and make the dash.

Heat 2 Shock used to front row starting position to build a good lead and advance. A great battle for 2nd between Ice and Sidebite would last until lap 10 when Sidebite would overdrive the corner and let Ice secure 2nd place.

In heat 3 Stealth would prove to be too much coming from the back to get the win. F1yer would have to earn 2nd by getting around Doit 5 for the final transfer spot from the heats.

The “Snicker’s” Dash would be one of the most competitive dashes of the season. Rain would take advantage of the front row but 2nd would change between the remaining 5 drivers. Stealth was able to fight through for 2nd, F1yer 3rd, Ice would pass 2 cars on the last lap for 4th, DK would go from 2nd to 5th in the last 2 laps. Shock would fall from 3rd to 6th.

“B1” action JJ got the pole and never looked back. Wheel was able to make a charge through the field and grab the final transfer spot from DOIT 5.

“B2” Sidebite and Zombie would take off and leave the field but after the race Zombie opted to 3rd due to a family emergency. Thus giving BLS_42 the transfer spot.

The “A” Feature was finally upon us as 13,421 fans came expecting a show and you can bet they got 1. Rain and Stealth would lead the field to the green flag and Rain would quickly get to the lead.

F1 would use the bottom to get up to 2nd and within 6 laps was able to get around Rain for the lead. Ice would be in no-mans land and slide up into Sidebite sending the WFO veteran back to 9th.

Meanwhile Wheel was making a mad dash to the front. By lap 12 he had moved up to 3rd and was looking to run down the leaders. Rain would start using the top groove and was able to start cutting into F1yer’s lead but on lap 20 Wheel had caught and passed Rain using the bottom line.

Wheel would then set his eyes on F1yer, catching him on lap 30 and the fans would be on their feet as the 2 drivers considered to be the best in the world would swap the lead back and forth.

On the final lap Wheel would grab the lead coming out of turn 2 but F1yer would battle back on the high side. Coming out of 4 F1yer would use the momentum on the high side to pull even with Wheel.

And at the line……They would cross at the exact same time. Rain would come home with the 3rd spot. Shock would finish 4th and JJ would bring home another top 5.

Ice would finish 6th and Stealth would bring home 7th. 8th place would go to DK, with Sidebite and BLS_42 9th and 10th.

“After a lengthy deliberation it was determined that the F1yer and Wheel both crossed the line at the same time. Both drivers’s received the 40 points for winning and both received the $20,000 for the show they put on for the fans here at WFO”

We caught up to Wheel after the race “Man I passed a lot of cars tonight. I drove my heart out and it paid off. After the issues I had in the heat I just knew I was going to lose a lot of points for the championship. I was able to drive to the front and give the fans a show.”

F1yer was upbeat as well “Got me another win here, and was able to get the lead in the championship battle. Got a great track for me next week and hopefully I can extend this lead a bit.”

The points here at WFO are as close as they have ever been
F1yer- 323
Rain – 322
Wheel – 318
Ice – 314
Stealth – 306
The top 5 have a legit shot at winning the championship. 6 races to go and the pressure are going to mount for these drivers. The WFO tour is going to San Quentin, CA. at XCR Mototsports Park V2
