Colona Illinois – 15 drivers pulled in to WFO Raceway for their shot at winning the prestigious WFO 100.

Heat 1 would roll off with VLR_Wheel starting up front and never looking back as the Wisconsin native would run away with the win. After a review it would be determined that IFRT_Rac would keep his 2nd spot and make the WFO 100 Feature.

Heat 2 would see WFO Ice start on pole and cruise to the win while BLS_Blaze would get to 2nd and just ride along knowing his spot was secure.

Heat 3 would be loaded for the point’s leader but WFO Rain would battle past BLS_F1yer and WFO Stealth for the win, F1 would take home the final transfer spot from the heats.

The Reece’s Pieces “B” Main would see WFO Ranger pull away from his 1st starting spot to win with Stealth, JR, and USRA Dane making it out of the B for the 100 lap event.

Once we had the lineups set for the feature and Rain had clinched his 3rd WFO Championship it would be time to run the series finale for WFO.

Rain and Blaze would lead them out of turn 4 to take the green. Rain would establish early that he was going to be tough to beat as he immediately grew his lead to over .7 over 2nd place Ice due to Rac and Blaze making contact out of turn 2 causing both drivers to retire early.

Ice however would begin to cut into his lead and by lap 17 he would be at Rain’s back bumper. Ice would do everything he could to get around but Rain would hold his groove and keep Ice at bay. Wheel would use this battle up front to catch the 2 leaders and on lap 35 and on lap 37 Wheel would use the chrome horn and get around Ice on the inside and set his sites on Rain.

Lap 46 Wheel would catch rain and the battle for the lead would ensue. Wheel would eventually get around Rain as Ice would catch back up to the 2 leaders, but this time he would bring F1yer with him. F1yer would get around Ice for 3rd as Wheel would start to put some breathing room between him and 2nd place Rain.

Lap 58 Ice would get into the back end of F1yer causing F1 to spin to the infield and retire from the race. Rain would cool his tires and make another charge at Wheel catching him on lap 63. They would swap the lead several times allowing Ice to come back and make it a 3 way battle once again. Ice would use this battle to get around them both on lap 71 but it would be short lived as Wheel would get back under and retake the lead on lap 72 taking Rain with him.

Ice would once again fall back to over .4 as Wheel and Rain would duke it out some more. Ice gradually caught them again on lap 89 and would make contact with Rain on the back strait and get to the 2nd place. Ice would then set his eyes on Wheel and run him down from .35 seconds and get to his bumper on lap 97.

Wheel would hold his line and Ice would make contact with the wall allowing Wheel to jump back out to a comfortable margin. Rain would drive in on the last corner making contact with Ice causing Ice to drive up the track allowing Rain to get past for 2nd.

Ice coming home 3rd, with Stealth 4th and JR rounding out the top 5. After the race it was decided that F1yer would be given credit for 3rd due to rough driving from Ice.

Catching up with Wheel after the race he was clearly exhausted, “Man running 100 laps with Rain and Ice on your bumper will really wear you out, it was a good race, great 3 car battle, I probably didn't have the fastest car but could keep up momentum on the high side and hold Rain and Ice off".

Rain walked to Ice’s trailer to discuss the last lap incident “Man it looked like you broke or something. I just got in there so fast that before I knew it we made contact”.

Ice looked a little dejected said “I was hoping I could make 1 last run at Wheel and let off a little too much. And after I got into F1 I really didn’t have any room to complain”

Congrats to Wheel for winning 2nd WFO 100 and Rain on his 3rd WFO Championship. Hope to get plenty of cars out next season as WFO will be bringing back the T~N~L cars back for another great season of racing.
