Terre Haute, Indiana: 22 cars made the trek to Indiana to run the historic Terre Haute Action Track. Heat 1 rolled out with F1yer moving up from his 5th place starting position to grab the heat race win, and Gates would bring home 2nd and transfer to the “A” main.

Heat 2 would see 17Va start up front and roll to the win with DK movin up from 4th to grab the 2nd transfer spot.In heat 3 Rain would move up and take the lead on lap 4 and never look back. Ice would make a pass on Scrub with 2 laps to go to grab the final transfer spot from the heats.

The “Snicker’s” Dash would have 17Va start on the pole and never relinquish the lead. Ice would work his way up to 3rd before an accident with Rain would send them both to the back. F1yer would bring home 2nd with DK 3rd, Gates would motor home 4th with Rain and Ice rounding out the field.

B1 would see JJ start up front and never look back winning the 1st “B” feature with Scrub hanging around in 2nd to advance to the “A” Feature.

B 2 would have some excitement as SideBite would run away with the B. Woods and Zombie would make contact with 2 to go and Stealth would drive in and finish off Woods. Stealth would use the contact to get up to 2nd and get the final transfer spot.

14,982 fans would give the 10 drivers that made the feature a standing ovation as 17Va would lead the field to the green flag. The field would stay bunched up and the 1st driver to get pinched out of the groove would be Ice. He would go from 5th to 9th on lap 4.

The pack would stay very compact however with F1yer taking over the lead on lap 6. DK would move up to 2nd on lap 8 bringing Rain with him. Ice would catch Stealth pushing him up towards the pack. In the meantime up front it was a 6 car battle with JJ finding his way into the top 3 along with Rain, F1yer, 17Va, and Sidebite.

Lap 17 would have some excitement as Gates, Ice, and Stealth would be battling for the 6th spot and once again Ice would be the one in trouble as he would check up and Stealth would get him going around essentially putting Ice in the freezer.

By lap 28 JJ and DK would separate themselves from the field, swapping the lead several times the next 7 laps. With 2 laps to go JJ would get a tad loose and DK would dive to the bottom of the track, getting his left wheels in the slick stuff at the bottom of the track and he would slide up and clip the front nose of JJ’s car.

DK would go on to win and collect the $35,000 1st place prize that would go along with it. After the race we caught up to DK who came to the WFO trailer to have us look at the pass.

“Man it was really close and I know I clipped his nose in the corner. I wanted the officials to look at it and if I was in the wrong then I was willing to accept the consequences.”

WFO officials looked at the replay and determined it to be a racing accident and would not take any action against DK for the incident. JJ was not happy with this decision and the normally calm and cool driver would launch a protest.

“I really feel like Ice made the wrong call on this one. Im not one to complain but I really felt like I had a legitamite complaint. After a lengthy conversation with JJ, Ice would render the following decision,

“From the replay I got from DK  it looked like DK made an evasive move that resulted in contact being made between him and JJ. And from that replay I could not lay blame on DK for the incident and it will be considered a racing accident.”

Come join us next week as WFO has their Mid Season Challenge from WFO Boone and will have dual “A” Features. The winners of this race will get to start on the front row of the season ending race at WFO Thunderbird.
