(1/18/15) Team ICE and VLR headed to LaSalle Speedway for the first annual Thaw Brawl. This was the biggest race of the season for ICE-VLR and the biggest race of the year so far. Many top drivers competed but a few were missed.

15 lap heats were took by DeadBolt, VLR_Shock, and ICE_MB.
The 20 lap B-Mains were won by Atwood and JFR_97.
Dash was won by DeadBolt

Before the main show could begin, J97 and XCR_FLY decided to pack up grab some hot dogs a cold beer and watch from the stands. So with that BLS_JMAC and ICE_KG were allowed into the main event.

At the drop of the green, ICE_M9 jumped out to a lead. Following closely behind was Shock and XCR_TM! Momper held the lead for half of the first segment until Shock finally caught him and gave him a battle for the lead. 
Meanwhile in the back, ICE_KK froze, supposedly staring at a hot nurse. His car was frozen on the track and in the path of the leaders. After many hits to the car, it moved away from the main line and the race continued without issue. Shock eventually passed Momper and took the lead to end the first segment of the Thaw Brawl.
Beginning the second segment, Shock took the lead. Momper got caught in the wall and had to drive his way back up to the front. Shock held on for the rest of the segment, even after Momper ran him down and almost got to him. Back in the pack there were good races for higher positions. KG, Atwood, JFR_LP, and Jmac all battled for position #5.

VLR_Shock ended up winning the first Thaw Brawl.
ICE_M9, after an impressive night, finishes 2nd and is holding a first place spot in points.
XCR_TM! finishes 3rd after having issues early in segment 2.
DeadBolt finishes 4th after having a great night of racing winning his heat and the dash!
ICE_MB records his highest finish of the season at 5th.
After not making the Thaw Brawl initially, ICE_KG finishes 6th after having trouble up front.
BLS_JMAC, who also did not make the Thaw Brawl initially finishes 7th.
After a great Heat performance, JFR_LastPlace finishes 8th
Atwood went back and forth all night but finishes 9th.
ICE_KK(the nurse lover) finishes last. Due to the hot nurses, he could not keep his eye on the game and quit out.

Next Week, ICE-VLR heads to Eldora Speedway 2015v2 for the World 50!
