THE FIRST ANNUAL VLR GOPHER 50 IS THIS SUNDAY WITH QUALIFYING BEGINNING AT 8:30 PM EASTERN AT DEER CREEK 2K12!!

1.      VLR_JW- JW has been running a lot lately, and it has been paying off for him as he looks set to make another strong run for the VLR championship after finishing second the past few season.  JW will no doubt be hooked up at the 3/8 mile. “I love these type of tracks so look for me to be up front, and pad my points lead.”

2.      JFR_A2D- After being so close to victory in the first two weeks, expect A2D to be thirsty for a win on Sunday, A2D says, “The Victory Circle chassis will be in victory lane eventually, just need to catch the right break. Even though I run good at the slicker tracks I'm still not a fan of them so I got to get through this little spell and get on to some of my better tracks.”

3.      VLR_Shock- The hottest driver in the business lately can’t wait to grab a VLR victory after finishing second in the opening two races, “I've won darn near every race lately and a VLR win is next on my list. I'm trying to make a name racing clean so hopefully when I win it will be with a clean pass. Deer Creek is an awesome track and I'd love to get a win in the Gopher 50."

4.      VLR_Wheel- Can Wheel overcome early season troubles and get back to the top of the standings? You hate to say this is a "must win" for a six-time defending champion looking to 7-peat, but the Wisconsin driver is already 14 points out of the lead just two races in the season. “I am the unluckiest guy in the world. I'm going to start running over people to win because this is my series and if I don't win nobodies going to. Get out of my way or I'll move you out. Can't wait to win Sunday."

5.      BLS_BW43-  BW’s streak of consisteny will most likely continue at the Deer Creek Speedway. The Michigan driver will make the trip west where he's hoping his consistency will pay off once again with a top five, or even better - a win. "I'm sitting fourth in points but there's a long way to go. If you want to have a good season here you need to start off good and that's what I've done so far so I'm hoping to ride this momentum and pick up a win."

6.      JFR_Jim- Will Jim carry the momentum over from last weeks win?  Probaly not, because he is the Michael Waltrip of dtr2, can only win at one track. We'll keep saying that until the "Alaskan Assasin" proves us wrong. "I hate to read into these little previews that you guys do but I guess they were right last week. I hope they're wrong this week cause I'll never be as good as Michael Waltrip. Don't insult him like that."

7.      BLS_34- BLS_34 will be the surprise of the week and earn an A main position and possibly be a threat for the win if he qualifies good. "My favorite food is probably chicken gizzards. Just something about that southern treat that tickles my ribs. Second favorite food? Probably banana pudding. Wait, wrong question."

8.      XCR_Opeth- Opeth has been a lightning rod lately, but has suffered from wrecks lately, giving a false sense of his performance. Look for him to be up front with the leaders because you know he wants to win at a track not to far from his home in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. "SATAN," Opeth said when asked about what his chances of winning were at Deer Creek.

9.      XCR_T92- Teabag has been quite impressive lately, showing lots of progress in recent weeks. If I was going to place money I'd put this guy pretty high on the list to become the next new winner of VLR. "Yo Yeah nigga we's just do werk here at Teabag Enterprises. It ain't nuttin fo me ta show up an' win yo. It would mean so much ta win up here at VLR ya'll is mad stupid."

10.  Squirrel- the local Minnesota hero will be buzzing in the crowd full of squirrel t-shirts as he is actually a heavy fan favorite here at Deer Creek. Despite being a local legend here in Minnesota, squirrel has never managed a win at VLR. In fact he only has one top ten all time, but that was because he showed up on the wrong night and no one else was at the race so squirrel declared himself the victor.

"It would just mean so much to me, so much to my family, and so much to every Minnesoterian if I could win here at Deer Creek," squirrel emotionally stated while fighting off tears. "This win is for all ya'll who supported me and told me to seek counsallllun for my prinking droblem."
