Wheatland, Missouri: The 6th Annual Spring Fling is set to kick off at one of the raciest tracks in the country. Lucas Oil 2k12 in Wheatland Missouri won the bid to host one of the most prestigious races in dirt track racing today. Race promoter BLS_Ice said he is really expecting a monster turn out this year with car counts at the league races being as high as they have been in several years. “Currently there are over 30 cars registered and we are expecting 10-15 more entries by the time qualifying starts. There are a ton of story lines this year and this track is fast everywhere! I can’t wait to kick this thing off and see who comes out on top when the dust settles.”
· VLR Wheel comes in as the early favorite to win the race, although this is one of the only races that have eluded one of the best drivers to ever race on dirt.
· WFO Rain is also a heavy favorite to win and is the only driver to have more than 1 win in the 5 previous Spring Fling’s.
· Defending Spring Fling champion Karl (D5) is going to try to be the 1st driver to repeat as Spring Fling champion.
· VLR Shock has vowed that this is the year that VLR cracks the code at the Spring Fling. That is assuming that he and Wheel don’t wreck each other going for the win.
· BLS_F1yer has taken some time off and hasn’t won in quite a while. Look for him to challenge for his 1st Spring Fling championship.
· BLS_Ice is looking to join Rain as the only 2 time winner of this race. Ice is on a new wheel and has been fighting it for a week now but by race time he expects to be a serious threat.
· VLR_JW is one of the fastest guys on the planet. If he gets a chance to get out front “The Mississippi Missile” is a hard one to catch.
· WFO Starnes is a serious wild card for this year’s Spring Fling. If he gets the right setup and has some clean air he might pull off a serious upset.
· JFR Jim has won a couple of races at Atomic Speedway and has shot up the overall rankings list. He will be looking to win at a track other than Atomic and prove the nay-sayers wrong.
· BLS_BW is one of the more dangerous drivers in the field. Super-fast and nerves of steel, BW is looking for his 1st Spring Fling win and the 1st place prize that goes along with it.
